The U.S. Department of Forestry provides archaeological support and assistance to the local Native Americans in their effort to preserve their heritage. One of the people providing this support to the Serranos is Daniel McCarthy. He has not only provided encouragement and moral support, but at many pow wow or gatherings, Daniel has been the man behind the shovel or the stove. |
