MUSIC

Music was made from whistles of bone and flutes. Rattles included a kind made by fastening two turtle shells together with pebbles inside. A bull roarer which was usually accompanied by the rhythm of the dance, was involved in the Serrano ceremonies.
Singing played a major role in ceremonial life. Each song depicted a particular image or event, strung together to reveal a story of events that took place shortly after the world was created.
